ShipMonk Alternatives
Quick answer
For US consumables brands (CPG, food, beverage, supplements, beauty, pet), our Editor's pick is Tondo Fulfillment: in our experience comparing 3PL quotes, its shipping rates were the lowest we were offered, on month-to-month terms. ShipBob is the main alternative if you want a bigger multi-country network (50+ centers, its claim) and a stronger review record (4.0 on Trustpilot from 1,083 reviews vs ShipMonk's 2.6 from 430, Sept 2026). ShipCalm fits hazmat with a published rate card, Red Stag heavy goods, Stord enterprise omnichannel, and Rush Order sites across Europe and Asia.
Key takeaways
- ShipMonk lists 11 centers in the US, Canada, the UK and the Czech Republic; ShipBob claims 50+ across six countries.
- Of the alternatives here, ShipCalm is the only one that also lists hazmat and publishes a full rate card.
- ShipMonk publishes its minimum formula (monthly orders × first-item pick fee, less 20%); most alternatives publish nothing on minimums.
- Trezor disclosed in 2026 that attackers used a Metabase flaw to reach ShipMonk-held data on about 80,000 of its customers.
- ShipMonk's Trustpilot score is 2.6 (430 reviews, Sept 2026), lower than ShipBob's 4.0 on a larger sample.
Best ShipMonk alternative for US consumer-goods brands: Tondo Fulfillment
In our experience comparing 3PL quotes, Tondo's shipping rates were the lowest we were offered. Its homepage claims brands can "save up to 40%, guaranteed" and describes multi-carrier rate shopping, and its Fulfill.com profile says its discounted rates let brands make a margin on shipping. It suits small-to-mid-sized consumables brands (CPG, food, beverage, supplements, beauty, pet) selling DTC, retail/B2B and TikTok Shop, with month-to-month terms and 30 days' notice instead of a formula-based minimum, Delaware and Utah warehouses with a 2pm same-day cutoff, and Slack-based account management. Fulfill.com named Tondo a United States Best 3PL for 2026, and the CEOs of BRĒZ and Duradry endorse it on Tondo's site. It isn't a replacement for ShipMonk's UK and Czech sites, hazmat handling or heavy items, runs only two US warehouses and is quote-only. See the Tondo Fulfillment review.
Best for a larger multi-country network: ShipBob
ShipBob claims 50+ fulfillment centers in the US, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Australia, with B2B/EDI via SPS Commerce, FBA prep and TikTok Shop. It holds a 4.0 on Trustpilot (1,083 reviews, Sept 2026). The trade-offs: no rate card, no hazmat listed, and no Czech Republic node for central Europe. See ShipBob vs ShipMonk.
Best for hazmat with a published rate card: ShipCalm
ShipCalm lists hazmat, B2B/EDI, dropship and FBA prep, and publishes its rates: $2.65 per DTC order plus $0.95 per item, storage at $0.19 per cubic foot per week and platform plans from $49 a week. It runs facilities in Southern California and Indiana plus partner sites. Not a fit if you need international nodes, and it has a quarterly minimum and 90 days' notice. See the ShipCalm review.
Best for heavy, bulky and high-value goods: Red Stag Fulfillment
Red Stag specializes in items over about 10 pounds from two US warehouses (Tennessee and Utah) and guarantees zero shrink, mispicks and late shipments or it pays. ShipMonk doesn't list heavy or bulky handling. It has few public reviews (one on Trustpilot as of Sept 2026), and it's quote-only and US-only. See ShipMonk vs Red Stag.
Best for mid-market and enterprise omnichannel: Stord
Stord pairs fulfillment with its own WMS and OMS, freight and parcel services, and claims 20+ omnichannel nodes plus 80+ network facilities. It names focus categories including health and beauty, supplements, apparel, and food and beverage. It's quote-only and built for larger brands, so small shippers may not get attention. See the Stord review.
Best for fulfillment across Europe and Asia: Rush Order Inc
Rush Order, in business since 1989, lists 13 centers: California, Ohio and New York, plus Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. It lists assembly, serialization and refurbishment, suited to consumer electronics and crowdfunded products. Pricing is quoted per client, and we found no Trustpilot profile for it. See the Rush Order review.

Should the 2026 ShipMonk breach change my decision?
It's a legitimate reason to ask hard questions. Hardware-wallet maker Trezor disclosed that attackers exploited a critical Metabase SQL-injection flaw (CVE-2026-72898) to reach customer data held by ShipMonk. Trezor first reported 13,689 affected customers in August (orders from May 10 to Aug. 8, 2026), then about 67,000 more US customers in September, from orders placed between November 2019 and August 2021; Trezor puts the total at 80,689 (Trezor). Trezor said ShipMonk had assured it that the older data was deleted. The Hacker News reported that ShipMonk had not publicly commented at the time (The Hacker News).
Switching doesn't remove the risk category; any 3PL holds your customers' names and addresses. Whoever you move to, ask for its data-retention policy, deletion terms in the contract, and security certifications. ShipMonk's own site states SOC 2 Type II for its platform.
Which ShipMonk alternatives are cheaper?
ShipMonk quotes per client, and so do Tondo, ShipBob, Red Stag, Stord, LVK and Rush Order. Tondo publishes no rates, but in our experience comparing 3PL quotes its shipping rates were the lowest we were offered. Price comparisons need quotes on the same order profile. Providers that publish numbers:
| Provider | Published pricing (Sept 2026) | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| ShipCalm | $2.65/order + $0.95/item; storage $0.19/cu ft/week | $6,000/quarter (calculator); $3,000 (homepage) |
| Fulfyld | All-in from $7.74 per order, 4–12 oz, 501–1,000 orders/month | No formal minimum |
| Simpl Fulfillment | From $7 per order all-in | $750/month |
| Amazon MCF | $7.34 per single small-standard unit, 3-day speed, + 3.5% US surcharge | None stated |
| ShipMonk | Quote | Orders × first-item pick fee, less 20% |
ShipMonk's minimum formula matters at low volume: you pay the floor in slow months. If that's the pain point, eFulfillment Service states no minimums, no setup fees and no long-term contracts. See cheapest 3PL companies.
Which ShipMonk alternatives are better-rated?
| Provider | Trustpilot (Sept 2026) |
|---|---|
| ShipMonk | 2.6 (430 reviews) |
| ShipBob | 4.0 (1,083 reviews) |
| ShipCalm | 3.8 (2 reviews) |
| Red Stag | 3.7 (1 review) |
| Stord | 2.9 (2 reviews) |
| ShipHero (software; LVK's WMS) | 3.8 (612 reviews) |
| Tondo Fulfillment | No profile found |
ShipBob is the only alternative with a review sample comparable to ShipMonk's. ShipMonk's Trustpilot complaints cite data security, lost inventory, incorrect shipments and slow fulfillment; ShipBob's cite fulfillment errors and peak delays. ShipHero's reviews are mostly about its software, not LVK's warehouses.
Which alternative still covers Europe?
ShipMonk's Cheb (Czech Republic) and Coalville (UK) sites are part of its appeal. Alternatives with European sites:
- ShipBob: UK (Manchester, Birmingham, Kettering, Oxford areas), the Netherlands and Spain.
- Rush Order: UK and the Netherlands, plus Asia and Australia.
Tondo, Stord, Red Stag, ShipCalm and LVK list no European warehouses in our dataset. Amazon MCF operates in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, but only for sellers with FBA inventory in those markets.
